What Is Emotional therapy?

Emotional therapy is a form of counselling which helps people who are suffering emotional turmoil within their life, whether it is brought on by a crisis or a long term situation.

Emotional therapy holds the belief that emotional well being is a key to a fulfilling life.

An Emotional therapist works towards developing a therapeutic relationship based on mutual trust, respect and understanding. Their approach helps to activate the self-healing mechanisms present in the body, enabling clients to work towards emotional and physical well-being.

Using a variety of techniques an Emotional Therapist works with clients at their own pace looking at all aspects of their life, to help them reach a greater understanding of self and so gain personal strength, find inner peace and restore balance.

Clients are helped to get in touch with both their past and present emotions in order to heal emotions. Clients are encouraged to participate fully in their healing process. One of the techniques used is journal work this enables a client to note any thoughts or feelings in between sessions, although the journal will remain private for the client it may bring revelations for them and bring up areas the client might wish to discuss.
