What is Anti-Ageing Facial Massage?

Anti-Ageing Facial Massage is a sequence of massage strokes, which actively relax the muscles of the face, neck and décolletage (upper chest area). It lifts and tones the whole of this area giving a rejuvenated appearance. Lines are noticeably softened and the skin regains its suppleness and elasticity usually after just one treatment.

The treatment combines an effective mix of stroking, circling, brushing, scissoring, tapping and acupressure point movements to stimulate the circulation, bring oxygen and nutrients to the skin cells, relax tension in the muscles and remove waste products.  The result is improved skin tone and softness, reduced sagginess and puffiness and a general glow to the complexion. The treatment will also leave you feel completely relaxed and your body’s energy flow will be improved giving you a sense of well-being.

This treatment is often acknowledged as a natural facelift without the need to resort to cosmetic surgery. Some have even described the repetitive finger movements over the face, neck and chest - which can be so effective in softening lines - as ‘ironing with your fingers’!

The Products Used

The anti-ageing benefits of the treatment are also to be found in the specially blended rose based aromatherapy oil chosen for its regenerative properties and its ability to hydrate the skin. Other products used during this treatment are also of the rose family and include cleanser, toner, moisturiser, eye cream and a marine collagen gel face mask. This mask contains aloe vera, lavender and palmarosa to refresh tired skin and to encourage a smooth appearance.

All products are from the ‘Naturally’ Range from Penny Price Aromatherapy  – one of the UK’s leading Aromatherapy companies. They have been scientifically developed from naturally pure ingredients and have been tested and proven to reduce signs of ageing and sensitivity. They are free of parabens, lanolin, mineral oil, synthetic perfume and animal products. The range suits the most sensitive of skins and will actively help conditions such as eczema, dermatitis and rosacea.

The Treatment

The treatment starts with a thorough cleanse to the face using the rose cleanser. This is massaged onto to the face and neck using a variety of strokes, which start to stimulate the cells as well as fully cleansing the face. The gel mask is then applied and left for up to five minutes. Once this has been removed, the massage with the rose oil begins. The décolletage is treated first and the massage moves upwards to the neck and face. All the strokes are applied in an upwards direction to give lift to the area and to ensure the delicate skin is not dragged. The oil is then removed with the rose toner before moisturiser and eye cream are applied. Alternatively you may wish to keep the oil on if you want to prolong the time it is on your skin.

This is a completely relaxing and therapeutic treatment, which will have your skin glowing and rejuvenated through stimulating massage and the use of completely natural products.

Number of Treatments Needed

Although improvement should be seen from the first treatment, a number of treatments are recommended to get the optimum results and to encourage the skin to lift and tone to its maximum effect.

The optimum number suggested by the experts is ten treatments. However as this is beyond many people’s time and budget allocation, a course of five – taken at weekly intervals – is suggested.

Cost

The treatment, which, lasts one hour, costs £35.00. A course of five is available at a discounted price of £150.
